We missed Paddy and Gus for sure. I think petone are best all around team in the grade and deserved to win by a couple.
Great to see Butch on the park and such a good turn out at the after match.
Still in the hunt though ESP with catch up games Wainui and Miramar. Bring on the Accies ;-)
Are Accies next. Oooh yeah!! Tough game boys - pretty even game I reckon. They were just more clinical in front of sticks.
I'm refusing to comment on previous posts re goalkeepers - other than to say that I do sometimes use my hands and do care about how I play. I care even more about the team though - the Petone game was my first loss of the season and I'd almost forgotten how gutting it is. Still, hopefully it will be the jolt we need to put in a big game against the Accies. Good luck to those of you playing - I look forward to the triumphant match report....
Yeah, nicely put Pepe - all the Stallions were pretty down after that game - ain't felt that sort of punishment for a while. But a wake up call it is - and lets not forget just how good that first half was - one of the best shifts we have put in.
The last post was actually about Gomes from an end of season review of Spurs players - thought it would be funny as a starting point for doing random quotes about players that relate to various positions/players in our team - but such stuff is much less funny when you ain't winning!
I was goin g to run with the following lame joke as the next one - but doesn't really work since the Stallions don't play wingers (but has a nice Albatross reference):
