Hmmm, how would this work for us?

From YF:

'Word on the street is that Capital Soccer are planning what to do with the rest of the season. One of the options was that they "redo the program to play rounds that may help in confirming promotion" and I suspect that is what they will do.
We should hear later tomorrow.....'

Hmmmm, depends if it includes relegation too (and how many get promoted/relegated).
We're still to play
~ Sealords. So that would go ahead as they're currently second
~ Elite & Dreamers. Probably not as we're all mid table (unless 3 are promoted then we could beat Inter)
~ Olympic & Stewsmum. 2 bottom teams so if it's 3 that get relegated there's no point playing them.
The only overriding thing is that with 5 games left, that is a whole lot of points available and the order could change dramatically if you played them all out. For example I'd back us to get at least 9 of those (conceivably 12, possibly 15!), and depending on who the teams above us have to play that could get us 1st!

Would that plan by Cap Soc mean that the top and bottom say 3 teams would have to play all their games but mid table teams would get to avoid any more Grenada Nth type farces?

They would have to make some pretty big assumptions about results to try and work it out - and in Div 7 that's a bit dodgy! i.e. Terrace beat Inter, we almost lost to Stop Out etc.
