The Butch is back!

After a lengthy absence Mike B returns in the green and yellow this Saturday. Mike has been involved in 2 key goals in Stallions games in the past:

Goal 1 - A perfect glancing header off a corner goes straight into the top left hand corner of the net. A perfect goal - unfortunately this was a defensive corner. In Mike's own words: 'Ben has never forgiven me'.

Goal 2 - Mike steps up to deliver a conventional defensive clearance from inside the box - the classic Stallions hoof it as far away as you can upfield. Sadly the ball slides off the side of his foot, is propelled back towards the Stallion goal, falling perfectly for the opposition striker who could not have wished for a better short ball and slots it home. Ben B sulks again.

Who can guess what will happen this weekend as Mike laces up his boots once again. A bit of advice Mike, don't mess around in the pregame - both major pony moments so far this season have been set up by pre-game messing around.

Update: Just had another fond memory about Mike's stallion antics. On the occasional times he was the pony, he wore the headband a little like McInroe or a 70s South American player. That long, curly hair floating in the breeze was a thing of beauty. Maybe next week?
