Heard on the sidelines #132917

Paddy to Poppy: 'I see you have been raiding your father's wardrobe again.' I think he was referring to that cute little bunny onesie, but it works just as well for the headband - amirite Dan (how about you talk us through that shot 'on goal' and how it stacks up alongside other pony contenders)?

Perhaps next season we invest in a pink bunny onesie to be worn by the pony in warmups.

Good effort yesterday, tough result. Reckon we just shaded them in the first half, but clearly tired in the second. Bolstered midfield looked real solid, though the formation did make Carrick run all day long - a huge effort. Next week - if we had to chose a team to beat first it would be Brooklyn - lets do them.

The follow up from paddy was: "We waged chemical warfare on nits in our house last week. Let us know if any survived on the pony headband..."

Julian for stallion. Full 90 mins in the midfield in his first game for six years! Highly commended (*and not to be interpreted like those condescending awards in primary school art contests, like the one I got for a stitch craft cat which was displayed surely and only for the entertainment value to teachers of its title, 'sleeping pussy'): Tangi for first full 90, and Nick for first full 45 this season, both shaking injuries. Three team spirit points to Lloydo for sitting out second half to get Nick on. And save in the knowledge that Steve would arrive to spare you all my 'midfield nous' for 45 minutes... All good Milky?

An encouraging performance as we rebounded from two games which now seem like rather tough warm ups for the games with actual points up for grabs.Good signs for fitness, team work and ball playing this week. A real pity to not earn a point for our troubles. And ohh .. I can still see that open goal in my minds eye, which tells you how closely I watched the ball onto my foot...

Let's get them on the return leg. And work hard this week against BNU with our school holiday squad.
