Div 7?

Don't know if this is true or not, but a 1st week's draw has been posted on the YF website here

It seems that we remain in Div 7, we miss playing the Raiders but it looks like we have a local derby with the relegated Legends.

A pretty competitive grade - 2 waterside teams, and we start off against marist and their crazy keeper. Or maybe not - there are 2 Marist teams.

Damn that's a competitive grade - Terrace, Dreamers, Olympic, Stopout and Stewsmum gone. Where are the easy beats at?

Note that there appears to only be 8 teams. Less games therefore? More complicated equations to work out who plays what games and who sits out?

Shit. Bloody tough grade. Let's make sure that we aren't the easy beats. The 8 team grades is pretty stink alright. There's a rise in the fees and a drop in the number of games. Not quite sure how that works out but anyway...

In terms of who sits out when, we're just gonna have to be adults about it. Mike has already said he's out for the first week and Lloyd's carrying a bit of an injury (although should be ready for the start of the season), so we'll have to sort out amongst ourselves who'll sit out if needed. All fees have now been paid or accounted for (thanks everyone), so we could go down the 'you were last to pay' route and get people to sit out that way, or we could put it to the commitment and attendance of pre-season games.

Thoughts?

Draw names from a hat and keep a tally maybe?

I'm with rauru - commitment to the team beyond gametime should be a factor, but ultimately I'm sure it will all work out. Swapping shirts constantly and making sure they all arrive at the next game etc is going to suck. Lets keep in contact with the Raiders - apparently they are struggling for numbers, so anyone forced to sit out could get some games for them.

Definately commitment to the team beyond gametime should play a part (unless your reason is prenty damn good) I think its pretty rank that we remain in Div 7 though! I guess that we will remain in Limbo until Capital Football posts the Draws.

The polls we have running are whether or not I'm going to be injured first game,so I guess I must be starting.

Backing up the next weekend is another story in itself
